Your Manifesting Ceiling

Right now, in this very moment, you’re pressing up against your own manifesting ceiling.

I know this is true because the Universe is only ever able to send us what is a current vibrational match to our energy blueprint.

At the same time, the Universe only ever sends us what we’re able to handle and work with.

And when the time comes for us to shatter our manifesting ceiling, the Universe then sends us an expansion opportunity.

The chance to change our actions, break the cycles, and mindfully choose a different path. Which in turn will shift our energy, ultimately shifting what we manifest via the Law of Attraction.

If we want to shatter our manifesting ceilings, we have to really take advantage of our expansion opportunities.

This is how we manifest mindfully, instead of on autopilot. This is how we start developing the skill of manifesting on purpose so we can be more intentional with our actions and mindsets.

We take note of our manifesting ceilings, we pay attention to our expansion opportunities, and then we go for it!

Maybe you’re thinking, “Nice one Sara Rae, but that’s easier said than done.”

And you’re not wrong.

It’s not always easy to manifest on purpose. It’s easy enough to understand the framework, but putting these things into action out in the real world is the actual test.

Knowing the theories isn’t going to do much to manifest your dream life. Only putting the theories to work will do that.

In this post I want to talk about your expansion opportunities, your manifesting ceilings, and how to bust through them all so you can manifest on purpose! Read on below.

If we want to shatter our manifesting ceilings, we have to really take advantage of our expansion opportunities. This is how we manifest mindfully, instead of on autopilot.

What Does This Mean?

Think of your manifesting ceiling as the current upper limit of what you can create or achieve based on your existing energy blueprint. However it presents itself now impacts the future.

Look around your life right now. All the beautiful things, all the things you’re wanting to change, all the things you’ve learned, all the habits you’ve built, and more, all represent the current boundary of your manifesting ceiling.

Which also ties back to your energy blueprint–the thing that the Law of Attraction responds to.

And by the way, you’re not required to shatter that ceiling if you don’t want to. If you feel fulfilled in your life and want to keep things the way they are for now, you’re absolutely free to do so.

But the Universe is a fickle thing and sooner or later, you’re going to be presented with some kind of expansion opportunity that will shatter your manifesting ceiling anyway.

You’re eventually going to face a drastic shift that changes your energy blueprint, which will change what the Law of Attraction sends to you.

Change is the only constant.

As we move through life, we undoubtedly go through phases. Those phases are representations of your manifesting ceilings. And it’s not inherently a bad thing.

There have been times in my life where I didn’t want a damn thing to change. I was content, had everything I wanted and needed, and I reveled in it. And even though I still held big dreams for the future, I was happy where I was.

There have also been times where I was desperate for change and did everything in my power to manifest that change as quickly as possible. Some of those times were happier than others.

In both situations, I have noticed that the Universe always presented me with opportunities to go in different directions. And that I always had free will to take advantage or disregard them. Depending on my mindset and energy at the time, I either took it or left it.

Free will is always an active player in this game of manifesting with the Law of Attraction. Opportunities for change always come and go. And we always have the choice to actively participate or not.

But that’s a catch-22 because you cannot expect to go your entire life and never experience changes. It’s biologically and developmentally impossible.

So, with that in mind, you basically have two options when it comes to your manifesting ceilings and expansion opportunities.

  1. Be an active participant in your own life by mindfully taking advantage of opportunities to grow and change as they present themselves. And also taking purposeful, inspired action towards manifesting your goals. Or….
  2. Sit back and let life happen to you. Be a passive participant in your own life by only doing the absolute bare minimum, superficial activities that just keep you afloat. Potentially even avoiding goals or ambition altogether until something life-shattering happens that forces you to take action.

When You Refuse Change

From what I’ve observed in my own life, and in the lives of my clients, the Universe seems to prefer active participants. Of course you have free will, but sooner or later things are going to get shaken up and you’re going to have to respond in some way.

This reminds me of the character Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang Theory–one of the few sitcoms I hate to love. LOL.

This isn’t a TV review podcast, but trust me when I say I could ramble on and on for an hour about this show. But I’ll spare you. Maybe I’ll make that a member exclusive podcast episode just to get it out of my system!

Anyway, in case you’re not familiar with the show, the main character is Sheldon, a grown man who is also a mega-genius in the field of theoretical physics. He is extremely particular and set in his ways. And I’m not just talking about having preferences. I’m talking about his incessant need for everything to be highly tailored to his expectations, and all the routines he’s created in his life affect everyone around him. If even one little thing is out of place, or disturbs his normal, deeply rooted routines, his entire world and psyche gets shattered.

And as you can imagine, that’s basically the premise of the whole show, as well as individual episode plotlines. It’ll come as no surprise that Sheldon Cooper does not handle change well at all. In fact, he goes through extreme measures to avoid it at all costs.

Over the course of the entire show, he is constantly confronted with the challenge of change. That’s the entire arch of his character development. And I believe this is a really good representation of what happens when people in the real world try to prevent change from all angles. It simply is impossible.

If you’re a fan of the show like myself, then you can probably think about many instances where Sheldon’s entire world collapses when curveballs are thrown his way. I won’t spoil anything, even though the show has been off the air for several years now. But let’s just say he literally runs from change, big and small.

Like I said earlier, you can either be an active participant and go with the flow of change, or you can try desperately to avoid change until it all builds up and the Universe essentially forces change upon you.

Watch the Big Bang Theory to see this illustrated by a group of nearly insufferable characters (that you can’t really tear yourself away from).

What are expansion opportunities?

If you don’t want to watch the Big Bang Theory, that’s okay, I seriously can’t blame you. I have a love/hate relationship with it myself!

And you probably don’t need to watch it anyway to understand what an expansion opportunity is and how it can show up in your life.

I have a good amount of example expansion opportunities to share with you, just to fully illustrate how frequent they are and to open your eyes to the near endless ways the Universe supports your growth.

“Expansion opportunity” is the phrase I use to describe all the various obstacles we face as we travel through life. Anything that gives you the chance to learn, grow, and implement what you’ve learned is an expansion opportunity. Examples include, but certainly aren’t limited to:

  1. Challenging relationships – romantic, familial, platonic, or professional, difficult relationships can offer plenty of opportunities to grow in empathy, communication, and boundary-setting.
  2. Career Setbacks – A missed promotion or job loss could push you to reassess your goals, acquire new skills, or pivot toward something more aligned with your passions.
  3. Health Challenges – Facing a physical or mental health issue can prompt you to prioritize self-care, adopt healthier habits, or deepen your understanding of the mind-body connection.
  4. Financial Struggles – Tight financial situations may inspire you to get creative with budgeting, appreciate non-material abundance, or develop new income streams.
  5. Emotional Triggers – Situations that evoke strong emotional reactions (anger, sadness, fear) provide a chance to explore underlying wounds and practice emotional resilience.
  6. Failed Projects – When a personal or professional project doesn’t succeed as expected, it can be an opportunity to learn from mistakes, refine your approach, and develop persistence.
  7. Rejection – Whether it’s in personal relationships, creative work, or career opportunities, rejection can prompt deeper self-reflection, healing of old wounds, and strengthening self-worth.
  8. Time of Uncertainty – Navigating periods of uncertainty, where the path ahead isn’t clear, can help you cultivate patience, trust in the process, and openness to unexpected possibilities.
  9. Conflict – Conflicts with others can offer a mirror for self-reflection, helping you recognize and heal old patterns or unexpressed needs while also improving your conflict resolution skills.
  10. Fear of Failure or Success – Confronting fears around either failing or succeeding can push you to expand your comfort zone, overcome limiting beliefs, and step fully into your potential.
  11. Unexpected Changes – A sudden life shift, such as a move or job relocation, can push you to adapt, embrace change, and learn how to find stability in new environments.
  12. Creative Blocks – Feeling stuck creatively can encourage you to explore new techniques, tap into different sources of inspiration, or step out of your comfort zone to discover untapped potential.
  13. Parenting Challenges – Struggles with raising children can be a profound opportunity to develop patience, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of unconditional love.
  14. Loneliness – Experiencing loneliness may inspire you to strengthen your relationship with yourself, explore your passions, or cultivate a deeper spiritual connection.
  15. Failure to Set Boundaries – Realizing you haven’t set healthy boundaries can lead to personal growth, as you learn to assert your needs, say no, and create healthier relationships.
  16. Facing Criticism – Constructive or even harsh criticism offers the opportunity to practice humility, refine your work or behavior, and strengthen emotional resilience.
  17. Imposter Syndrome – Struggling with feelings of inadequacy or self-doubt can push you to work on self-acceptance, own your accomplishments, and recognize your true value.
  18. Procrastination – Dealing with procrastination can be an invitation to examine underlying fears, time management skills, or a need for better alignment between goals and actions.
  19. Overwhelm – Feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities can help you develop better organizational skills, learn to delegate, or simplify your life by focusing on what truly matters.
  20. Spiritual Disconnect – Periods of spiritual doubt or disconnect can prompt you to explore new practices, deepen your inner work, or redefine your relationship with the Divine.
  21. Learning a New Skill – Struggling to master something new, like a language or technical skill, can teach you perseverance, patience, and the value of being a beginner again.
  22. Social Anxiety – Facing social anxiety in group settings can encourage you to develop self-confidence, improve your communication skills, and learn how to connect with others authentically.
  23. Unmet Expectations – When life doesn’t go as planned, it can push you to let go of rigid expectations, practice surrender, and remain open to new and unexpected paths.
  24. Loss of Routine – Disruption of a familiar routine, whether due to travel, illness, or other reasons, can force you to become more adaptable and find new ways to stay grounded.
  25. Lack of Work-Life Balance – Realizing you’re overworking or neglecting personal life can encourage you to establish boundaries, prioritize self-care, and create a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Each of these challenges presents a chance to grow and evolve in ways that may not have been possible without the initial obstacle.

Aligning with Your Energy Blueprint

Hopefully by now you can see how expansion opportunities are key moments where challenges present themselves as catalysts for growth.

Each obstacle or difficulty we encounter has the potential to reshape our energy blueprint, which reflects the energetic signals we emit into the Universe.

Imagine how much more quickly you can overcome all those challenges when you consciously engage with them rather than resist them. If you resist them, they’ll either stick around and become bigger, or they’ll leave and come back with a vengeance!

How you choose to handle your expansion opportunities directly impacts your energy blueprint. Resistance creates an energy that will not attract your dream life. If you embrace the challenges, you’ll likely manifest miracles much faster! It might be counter intuitive, but it’s true.

Lean into the Discomfort

Your mindset plays a big role in how you approach your expansion opportunities and if/when you shatter your manifesting ceilings.

Do you see challenges as a chance to learn and grow? Or do you see challenges as a threat to your livelihood and self image?

Challenges may be uncomfortable to begin with. But what’s even more uncomfortable is resisting the natural flow of changes over the long term.

Think of wearing shoes that are too small. At first, it might seem fine because you can tolerate them to a point. But over time, they start to pinch, cause blisters, and make walking impossible. The more you keep wearing them, the more painful it becomes.

Resisting change and avoiding challenges in life is like holding onto those tight shoes—sticking with what’s familiar or “easy” even though it’s unsustainable. Letting go and embracing new challenges is like finding a pair that fits better, giving you room to move freely.

Back in episode 123 of the Spiritually Inspired Podcast, we talked about how discomfort fosters growth. Getting too comfortable is the silent enemy of manifesting success. Even if you love this phase of life and don’t necessarily want things to change, it’s going to happen eventually.

Our human nature, and the nature of the Universe, will get to a point where we crave something new. It might happen slowly (agonizingly slowly, as it did with Sheldon Cooper), but in the long run, discomfort is very beneficial. It is a sign of growth when we push past our comfort zones even if we don’t want to or don’t think we’re ready.

We are meant to go through periods of comfort and discomfort.

Discomfort is a necessary part of expansion. It’s a sign that we’re evolving and stretching beyond old limitations. Once that pesky manifesting ceiling is shattered, we will find ourselves with a new and improved energy blueprint that reflects what we’ve learned. Then the Universe will respond accordingly!

Obstacles as Catalysts for Change

Obstacles, aka expansion opportunities, serve as the push we need to make necessary changes. They nudge us out of our comfort zones and essentially force us to grow in ways we might not have otherwise.

Many people who have experienced significant transformations speak of a moment when they faced a daunting challenge that sparked a deep shift. A health crisis, financial struggle, personal loss, or any number of things. All of these are expansion opportunities, and they are the stepping stones to our biggest breakthroughs.

To fully embrace expansion opportunities, it’s important to shift our perspective on challenges. Reframing obstacles as growth opportunities is the first step. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” shift the question to “What is this teaching me?” or “How can I grow from this?”

It’s essential to understand that growth through expansion opportunities is rarely a straightforward or immediate process.

Sometimes, setbacks are an integral part of the journey, and growth may not be apparent until after we have moved through the experience.

Life ebbs and flows, and so does our energy. There may be periods where progress seems to stall, but in reality, important inner work is taking place.

Embracing patience and trusting the process are key to shattering your manifesting ceiling through expansion opportunities. Each challenge, setback, and breakthrough is part of our evolution, and when we honor the non-linear path of growth, we can stay grounded in the knowledge that expansion is unfolding even when it’s only obvious in hindsight.

Recognizing the Ceiling

Have you ever noticed the same types of problems showing up repeatedly in your life? Those are the most obvious expansion opportunities. That’s when the Universe is knocking on the door yelling, “Um hello?! Don’t you see what’s going on here?”

If that is happening, there is something about your energy blueprint that is attracting the same situation over and over again. Some sort of inner belief or behavior that matches the energy of that repeating situation. That ceiling is oppressive for a reason–it’s not serving you.

Recognizing this ceiling is crucial for understanding why certain goals remain out of reach despite continuous effort. This is a unique way of understanding what changes can be made to cultivate the life you’ve always wanted.

The manifesting ceiling directly impacts what we can achieve because it reflects the boundaries of our current energy blueprint. When our energy is restricted by self-imposed limitations, our ability to manifest is equally confined.

However, this ceiling is not a permanent barrier. Rather, it mirrors our present energetic state, meaning it can shift and expand as we grow. By evolving the energy we radiate, we can move beyond this ceiling and manifest more of what we want.

That’s essentially the goal of this entire podcast! Shifting our energy blueprint so we can shatter those damn manifesting ceilings via our expansion opportunities.

As we grow and evolve, our manifesting ceiling naturally rises, enabling us to achieve greater goals. This ceiling is not fixed but is instead a dynamic part of our journey.

Each time we transform our energy blueprint, the range of what we can manifest increases. Our manifesting ceiling is just as flexible as our energy blueprint. And continued growth and transformation is what truly allows us to manifest the ultimate expression of our dream life!
